What types of molds and tooling can FSD supply?

FSD can review tooling requirements for injection molding, die casting, metal stamping, prototype programs, production tooling and precision tooling components according to project requirements.

Can FSD manufacture both the tooling and the finished parts?

Yes. Depending on the project, tooling can be coordinated with injection molding, die casting, stamping, CNC machining, surface finishing, inspection and assembly requirements.

What files are required for a tooling quote?

STEP, STP, IGES, X_T, DWG, DXF and PDF files can be used for engineering review. A 3D model together with a 2D drawing is recommended when the project includes critical dimensions, material requirements or tooling-specific specifications.

Do you support prototype tooling?

Prototype and bridge tooling requirements can be reviewed according to part design, material, expected quantity and validation requirements.

Can existing molds or tooling be modified?

FSD can review tooling modification, insert replacement and adjustment requirements based on the condition of the existing tool and available technical information.

Can molds be delivered for production at the customer's facility?
